The Sovereign Constantinian Order of Cappadocia has its origins in the Imperial Guard that fought with Emperor Constantine I during the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312 CE. Although vastly outnumbered, the Imperial Guard defeated the forces of Emperor Maxentius and thereby paved the way for Constantine I to become the sole ruler of both, the Eastern and Western Roman Empire. The victory at Milvian Bridge in Rome inspired Emperor Flavius Constantine to establish the Order.

Grand Priories

The specific purpose of Grand Priories shall be to provide charitable services to organizations that help the needy through the participation of its members and to establish and maintain a “Saint Helen’s Home for Women and Children” who are disadvantaged, trafficked, abused, or in need of help by providing temporary shelter, medical, physical, psychological, and spiritual support until they can attain a healthy and fulfilling life.

The Royal Order grants charters of affiliation to Grand Priories under approved articles, bylaws, and the terms and conditions of an Affiliation Agreement. The Grand Priory accepts this charter and the Royal Order. Each agrees to abide by this Agreement and all Royal Order Bylaws, rules, policies, and procedures relating to Grand Priories, as adopted by the Royal Order’s Board of Directors, as approved by the Sovereign Constantinian Order of Cappadocia and San Bartolomeo, or in short the “Principality of Cappadocia,”

The Grand Priory will represent the Royal Order within the State or a Country (the “Territory”), pursuant to and in accordance with the Royal Order’s mission and purposes as set forth in the Royal Order’s Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Affiliate Policies, and the terms of Affiliation Agreement. The Royal Order agrees that the Grand Priory shall be the sole and exclusive affiliate of the Royal Order in the Territory during the Term, provided that the Grand Priory shall have the exclusive power to establish local priories within the Territory.

Any person interested in promoting, fostering, and furthering the purposes of the Royal Order shall be eligible for membership in the Monarchical Chapter of the Royal House, subject to the Bylaws.  All members of the Grand Priory shall concurrently hold a membership with the Royal Order. The membership shall be divided into Voting Members and Associate Members.

Today, the Royal Order’s legal authority to grant Titles arises from the Sovereign and Royal House of the Prince Grand Master,                    H.R.H. Don Rafael Andujar y Vilches of Cappadocia and San Bartolomeo (the “Royal House”).
