GRAND PRIORIES

The Sovereign Constantinian Order of Cappadocia has its origins in the Imperial Guard that fought with Emperor Constantine I during the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312 CE. Although vastly outnumbered, the Imperial Guard defeated the forces of Emperor Maxentius and thereby paved the way for Constantine I to become the sole ruler of both, the Eastern and Western Roman Empire. The victory at Milvian Bridge in Rome inspired Emperor Flavius Constantine to establish the Order.
